CTV adds three new board members!

Warren Beer, Randy Dersham, Matthew Hewlett join CTV board

The CTV Board of Directors has expanded as of July with the addition of three new members and a board vote approval to expand its seats to accommodate – bringing the total number of CTV board of directors members to 11 presently.

WARREN BEER – Warren joins CTV after working for decades in I.T. services with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. An active member of the Eugene Rotary Club, a military veteran, and an experienced manager; Warren joins CTV with an interest in film, broadcasting, and CTV’s many endeavors. He also works with the DisOrient Asian Film Festival in Eugene.

RANDY DERSHAM – Randy Dersham has just completed his debut documentary, Oregon’s Boat: the McKenzie River Drift Boat, about the evolution and influence of the McKenzie River Drift Boat, Oregon’s iconic whitewater craft. 

He is an executive leader of startup businesses and executive producer/director of award-winning video games for companies including Disney, EA, Zynga, and Sierra. Randy has presented at conferences and served on panels nationwide on the craft of creating games for entertainment and education. He has served on the UCLA-Industry Transformative Media Consortium, a sponsored group of educators, businesses, and government designed to explore the influence and impact of electronic games. 

MATTHEW HEWLETT – Matthew Hewlett is a filmmaker and community leader based in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Since launching his creative journey in 2010 under the banner Hewlett Artistry, Matthew has produced a diverse portfolio of short films and video projects that explore themes of heritage, identity, and rural life. His work is showcased on his YouTube channel, Hewlett Artistry – Short Films, where he continues to share his passion for storytelling through visual media. 

In 2019, Matthew collaborated with the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce to create tourism-focused content that highlighted the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. This project underscored his commitment to using film as a tool for community engagement and economic development. 

Beyond filmmaking, Matthew has a background in construction, industrial painting, caregiving, and maintenance management. These diverse experiences inform his holistic approach to leadership and community service. 

Currently, Matthew serves as the Executive Director of Spirit of Bohemia Mining Days, where he leads efforts to celebrate local history and foster community pride through immersive events and educational programming.
